Introduction : We are looking for Moroccan volunteers from Marrakech to help coach team from USA and facilitate training courses for target beneficiaries.
Background :
YACD is seeking experienced Moroccan volunteers preferably from Marrakech for training facilitator in order to help coach team from USA ; the main focus of all activities will be on empowering women artisans by giving them training in accounting and marketing.
These Women are economically weak. Though they live in a region that is one of the major attractions of tourism industry in Marrakech, in general the local people are not benefited from the tourism industry. YACD is presently running different programs to uplift the economic condition of these women. They are trained to make traditional crafts, embroidery, clothes, and other goods. These products are later sold in market and the income goes directly to women and their families so they need to be equipped with the skills in accounting business and marketing to communicate effectively, increasing sales and building strong customer relationships. .also these women need to learn foreign languages so that they can talk with tourists and sell their products directly.

The main activities are :
Short and long-term volunteer opportunities that promote young people’s skills exchange, intercultural learning and global understanding focusing on :
- Orphanage care,
- Teaching foreign languages,
- Environmental protection,
- Social services including care, programs for children, elderly and people with special needs,
- Restoration and Conservation work,
- Providing healthcare to families in rural areas.
Position Description :
Facilitating the translation of training to target beneficiaries (women artisans) with an emphasis on project management, strategic planning, personnel management, evaluation, teamwork, contracting, budgeting and other topics. Responsibilities include :
- Work with trainers to develop training sessions, courses, and presentations
- Coordinate and work with other training providers/organizers.
- Develop training materials.
- Arrange and prepare training materials for training courses.
- Produce evaluation reports of training events. Requirements :
- English speaker.
- Experience in training and facilitation.
- Experience in field of voluntary work.
- Ability to understand the needs of the participants and adapt quickly.
- Knowledge of different cultures.
- High flexibility.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Remuneration :
There is no remuneration for individuals working in this volunteer position. Individuals who are engaged as volunteers will not be paid and the costs of local transportation expenses are the responsibility of the YACD.
At the end of the program participants get the certificate of participation.
